About Elze.
As a creative producer, I like all things beautiful.
My formative years were spent abroad where my world-view was expanded and my inspiration grown.
My heart lies in beautiful enviroments so creating art with photography fills my soul.
Light, nostalgia, family and the unexpected are my subjects.
My Approach
The abstract nature of light drives my images. I like to work in a way that brings warmth and comfort to the viewer. Although photography remains my main medium of choice, my passion has moved to discovering three dimensional form. I wanted to move to a tactile expression of my current consideration of life: Womanhood, motherhood, death of self-identity and loss in all its forms.
I am now moving on to discover Ceramic sculpture. This form of Play brings boundaries and gentleness to my work that I hope translates into a mood of reception.
A quote I like
“A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art.” – Paul Cézanne
My deepest love
Discovering new artists. Everyone has something to say through their art and finding a new artist is like discovering a new language or a new way of seeing the world. For a moment you get to feel and be and see what they do.
